YMAA Demo at Boston GreenFest 2009

YMAA will be performing Kung Fu and Tai Chi at Boston GreenFest 2009 on August 22nd, 2009. Look for us in the morning stage performances.
Classes at YMAA Boston will be cancelled for this day, Saturday, August 22nd.
We will perform Tai Chi and Kung Fu, including Shaolin barehand, staff, sword, saber, and many more. This year's demo is being held to help promote a greener world. GreenFest educates the public about how to make the world a better place through recycling and proper waste disposal, better nutrition and health, encouraging a green economy, and taking a voice in promoting a greener, safer community.
Yang's Martial Arts Association celebrates its 27th year in Boston. Located in Jamaica Plain, we have promoted and trained traditional Chinese Kung Fu in the styles of Shaolin White Crane and Long Fist, and Yang-Style Taijiquan for almost 3 decades. Summer Break 2009
Dates: Sun, Jul 26, 2009 - Sun, Aug 2, 2009We will be having our annual summer break this year from Sunday, July 26th to Sunday, August 2nd. Classes will officially resume the following Monday, August 3rd.
If you would like to train during the Summer Break, please contact us ASAP.
Please plan on arriving between 12:00pm - 5:00pm (Mon - Sat) if you plan on training during this time, or call ahead of time to arrange for an instructor to open the door for you.

It's back! Heidi Butler will once again be offering the popular Tumbling for Kids class. Heidi is a very patient and experienced instructor and has been teaching at the Ohrenberger Community Center for over 20 years. Tumbling is a great way to improve body awareness, balance, agility, and posture.
For this next session, Heidi will be running two sections: one for ages 3 and half to 5, and the other for ages 5 and half to 10. There will be enrollment limits of 5 and 10 students, respectively, for each section.

Chinese Language Workshop
Date: Tuesday, July 21st, 2009Time: 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Joohyeon Han-Johnson, a current Shaolin and Taiji YMAA Boston student, will be offering an introductory Chinese language workshop next Tuesday, July 21st. Learn how to correctly pronounce those stances and moves in Chinese! The workshop will cover pronunciation using Pinyin (the China standard) as well as basic, practical phrases.
