Kathy holds a M.Sc. in Chinese Medicine (First Class Honors Distinction), a B.Sc. in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Clinical Exercise Physiology (Cum Laude), and a Bachelor of Medicine from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She is also a Scarlet Key Award recipient from her alma mater Boston University.
Kathy began training traditional Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi and Qigong at the age of six under the guidance of her father Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming.
