YMAA Boston Test
Nicholas Yang and Mike Vasicek testing saber vs. spear
Time: 2:00pm
Location: YMAA Boston
The next YMAA Boston test for Shaolin and Taiji will be held on June 22nd, 2008 at 2:00pm in the carpeted studio area. Testing is held quarterly every year. There is a testing fee of $10. Spectators can come watch for free. We will be eating dinner in Chinatown afterwards. Those that test pay an additional $5 for dinner. People who do not test pay $15 for dinner.
Don't forget the importance of testing and progressing along in your practice! Testing is a way to gauge the quality of your training and to qualify for learning more advanced forms, techniques, concepts, and exercises to develop a deeper and more refined understanding of your training.
Overseeing the Shaolin testing will be Nicholas Yang and Ben Warner, while Jeff Pratt and Jim O'Leary oversee the Taiji testing.
Jeff Pratt will not be able to make it to the test this Sunday. Taiji students who are testing for 4th stripe or higher will instead test on Saturday, June 28th at 10:30am instead.
Taiji students who are testing for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd stripes will still test on Sunday, June 22nd at 2:00pm.
