YMAA Boston will be holding its annual free Taijiquan and Qigong practice event at the Arnold Arboretum, in celebration of World Tai Chi & Qigong Day.

At 10:00am, we’ll be practicing the Yang-Style Taijiquan form following the tradition of World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, a day when people all around the world do Taiji at 10:00am in their respective time zones. We’ll also do some simple Qigong Exercises for Health and Pushing Hands.

Everybody is welcome to join in! All levels of experience are encouraged to attend. Just bring yourself, comfortable clothes, and lots of Chi ;). Also feel free to bring your dog, kids, frisbees, and whatever you feel is appropriate for a day outdoors. Yay! Please note that the Arboretum has some restrictions.

  • Food and drink are not allowed on the Arboretum grounds, nor can the Arboretum provide indoor facilities; receptions must be held elsewhere.
  • Any trash generated must be removed prior to your departure.
  • Furniture is not allowed on the Arboretum grounds.
  • No event or directional signs are allowed, so look for us around the Forest Hills Gate.
  • The event must have no impact on the Arboretum grounds or plants.

YMAA Andover will also be hosting a free World Taiji & Qigong Day event, at the Yang's Fitness Center (5 Dundee Park, Andover, MA). Their event will begin at 10:15am and include Qigong, Taiji, open practice, demonstrations, and Q&A. Download YMAA Andover's PDF Flyer here. Please call 978-475-2020 for more information on YMAA Andover's event.
"On the last Saturday of April each year, the entire world is invited to move together, to breathe together. One world, one breath."
