New Xingyiquan Session Starts Sept. 12th
Ken Craggs will be offering an 11-class session on Xingyiquan beginning on September 12th. There is an additional discount for YMAA students!
Xingyiquan (Hsing Yi Chuan) is a popularly known Chinese internal martial art. Literally translated, it means "Shape Mind Fist." It is based on the movements and inner characteristics of 12 animals. The style was created by Marshal Yue Fei, a famous Chinese general of the Song Dynasty during wartime. Unlike most martial arts, Xingyiquan was created during to be more aggressive and offensive.
Xingyiquan is an internal art, and like Taijiquan, it improves Qi circulation in the body and maintains health. It trains you to build abundant levels of internal Qi to strengthen both the physical and mental bodies.
