YMAA Boston Performs at Brown University
20 February 2010
YMAA Boston was recently invited to perform at Brown University's Chinese New Year's banquet. The 15-minute performance included kicks, weapons, and matching sequences. The team performed White Crane, Long Fist, Praying Mantis, and some martial applications. There were 10 students total in the demo team.
The demo team consisted of Jonathan Chang (a disciple of the YMAA Retreat Center), Sully Donahue and Michelle Lin (of YMAA Andover), Robert Was and Marek Czuprynski (of YMAA Poland), and Sean Tran, Paulina Phu, Simon Pang, Alec Chan, and Nicholas Yang (of YMAA Boston).
Thank you to Jachym Jerie (of YMAA Retreat Center), Gabrielle Javierbieda (of YMAA Boston), and Caroline Chen (of YMAA Andover) for videotaping and taking photos.
Slight camera malfunction, unfortunately, so missing video footage of kicks, Alec's Qi Xing Dao, and Sully's knife form :(. And so we got this really artsy video effect thing going on with Jonathan's Shuai He. Just by luck it's overlayed with some practice video of him doing the same form at YMAA Boston, HAH. But anyway, GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

Great job guys, demos looked
