Location: Details:
The 2010 YMAA Portugal Summer Camp will again be held at Costa da Caparica in Lisbon, Portugal, the same location as the YMAA International Summer Camp in 2009. Workshops will cover Taijiquan, Pushing Hands, Qigong, Shaolin, Sparring, and Weapons. The summer camps are a very unique opportunity to meet YMAA students worldwide and to experience YMAA training at its finest. Several of the world's top YMAA instructors will be in attendance, including Pedro Rodrigues (POR), Vitor Casqueiro (POR), Celso Barja (POR), Robert Was (POL), and Vitor Marques (FRA).
This year, all YMAA instructors and faculty are also invited to participate in a Training Standardization session. This is to standardize training across all YMAA branch school and update each other on techniques, drills, fundamentals, and exercises.
Training will be outdoors when the weather permits. The campground is very spacious and a short walk from the beach.
YMAA Portugal remains amongst the leaders of YMAA International. This year they will also be hosting a martial arts tournament, to take place the weekend of July 23. Everybody is welcome to participate! Come see what YMAA Portugal is all about!
YMAA Poland is also one of the forerunners of YMAA International. They will be running their own YMAA Poland Summer Camp event from July 10-18.
