April 29 - May 27 (5 weeks)
Mindful yoga is a class suitable for everyone! In this class we focus on finding the calm and steady in both body and mind, emphasizing breath awareness, "inner peace", and the present moment. We'll practice a slow flow of standing, seated, and floor yoga postures and movements that are designed for building inner and outer core strength, and improving balance and coordination. We’ll learn to listen to and be mindful of our body’s responses to the poses and be able to make modifications and adjustments depending on particular needs, and/or any aches and pains in that moment. We’ll practice meditation and relaxation techniques that can easily be put into your busy schedule to keep you mindful when you need to most. The class will be both challenging and peaceful.
Good for those:
- feeling overextended and fatigued and need some relaxation
- looking for a way to build strength without causing strain or pain
- wanting to try yoga but feel they're not flexible enough
