In this seminar Master Yang will cover essential principles and qigong patterns of Yang style Tai Chi. The movements of the Yang style long form will be covered in detail. YMAA Tai Chi can be practiced for both health and martial arts.

Health benefits of tai chi have been found to include stress relief, improved balance, reduction of chronic pain, mental focus and more.

There is an expression form the tai chi classics "four ounces to move 1000 pounds". Tai chi practice helps teach the student to sense and neutralize incoming energies and redirect them. The tai chi form is the foundation of tai chi martial arts principles.

Chin Na

Picture
Chin na means "seize and control" and is one of the four major elements of martial arts training. Chin na are grabbing techniques that specialize in controlling or locking the opponent's joints, muscles, or tendons. Chin Na principles are the foundation of numerous martial arts styles including aikido, jujitsu, judo, and BJJ. These joint locking techniques can be applied to any background and style of training and are an essential addition to any martial arts style.

In this seminar Master Yang will teach chin na techniques from the YMAA International Chin Na curriculum.
