Motion and evolution in Taijiquan
The rollback and press partner exercise teaches rooted movement, possible angles of attack and range to the opponent. By concentrating on two techniques, rollback and press, the drill allows practitioners to focus on the importance of movement and evolution from one technique to the next.
The seminar will focus on the following .
◦ Rooted movement
◦ Flow from one technique to the next
◦ A sense of range, both offensively and defensively
Leading the seminar is Jeffrey Pratt, a YMAA International 7th duan instructor. Mr. Pratt has been practicing Taijiquan since 1987. He has taught and competed in Taijiquan nationally and internationally. A national champion and grand champion in Pushing Hands. He shares his love of the art and experience with everyone in the seminar.
