Double Push Hands & Applications
Taijiquan's fundamental principles are best understood when working with a partner. Taijiquan's two person drills are called Push Hands. Double Push Hands is a two person drill with six simple techniques. Double Push Hands focuses on smooth, controlled motions to neutralize incoming force. Cooperative practice enhances learning so the techniques are grasped quickly. Seminar participants will develop their “Root” and whole body movement. Root and whole body movement are the foundations of stability and power training in Taijiquan. The seminar will also introduce the martial applications that can be developed from Double Push Hands. Techniques will include joint locks, take downs, and striking.
